Chelsea vs Juventus - friendly RECAP: All the reaction as Xabi Alonso's Blues suffer defeat in Hong Kong and Mykhailo Mudryk plays first game since doping ban was dropped

This may well be one of the shortest summaries I've ever given at the end of a matchday blog.

Well, I've already said enough.

Juventus won, Chelsea lost, and we got to see a banger. That was pretty much the story of the match.

I will see you all soon for the next big batch of pre-season games.

I swear, it doesn't matter which teams are playing there is always some sort of trophy on the line in these pre-season friendlies.

I didn't even realise until I saw this photo that Juventus were handed a trophy for that win.

They look buzzing to have it in their hands, don't they...?

I've only just spotted this , but I thought it was worth the post anyway.

It appears as though Xabi Alonso has been filmed signing many football shirts with his name on, including a Liverpool shirt.

Still showing love to the Reds even though he is now the manager of one of their rivals.

Thoughts, Chelsea fans? (I mean, surely it's not a big deal...)

I'll be honest, until today, I'd completely forgotten that Chelsea had Geovany Quenda within their ranks.

It has been over a year since Chelsea announced the signing of Quenda, but the winger has only just completed his move to the club from Sporting Lisbon.

And well, it looks like they have a gem on their hands.

In what was a pretty dire first half, Quenda was a bright spark for the Blues. The winger was always looking to get involved, making darting runs, calling for the ball, and whipping in crosses.

Xabi Alonso's side lost a lot of energy when Quenda was taken off at the break; it's almost as if the life had been sucked out of their attack.

A very exciting player.

Chelsea still have a couple more games to go on their grand pre-season tour.

In fact, they literally play twice in two days at the weekend.

On Saturday, Xabi Alonso's side take on AC Milan in a friendly in Jakarta, Indonesia. That one will likely be for the squad's big guns.

Then a day later, the Blues do battle with Johor Darul Ta'zim F.C.

So yeah, a busy few days to come, still.

We simply have to that winning goal.

Edon Zhegrova's strike can only be described as a bolt from the blue, it was an absolutely beauty from nowhere.

To strike the ball like he did first time and into the top corner like that was just superb.

I could this on loop.

While it may not have been a feel-good day overall for Chelsea, there was one feel-good moment.

Yep, you know which one I'm talking about.

Mykhailo Mudryk finally made his return to football after 20 months out of the game through suspension.

I mean, you can only imagine what was running through the winger's mind when he was finally given the chance to return to the game.

He only managed a 10-minute cameo, but in that time he showed that he still very much has those lightning-quick wheels that we all remember from his debut against Liverpool.

Now the question is: will he get many more minutes for Chelsea?

Before you Chelsea fans jump on me, I know it's pre-season, and I am not about to completely bash your team.

However, losing two games on the spin, even when it is pre-season, is never a good feeling for a team.

But it's not even the result that is the real concern, but rather the performance. Chelsea barely created anything all game, even when they switched personnel.

They have a lot of work to do.

Not Chelsea's day, again...

They lose for the second pre-season game on the spin, this time without scoring a goal.

Xabi Alonso has plenty to ponder after this one because, in all honesty, there aren't heaps of positives he can take.

All in all, it just wasn't a great game.

I'll tell you what... Mykhailo Mudryk looks sharp.

He's sent in down the left by Liam Delap, and the winger displays his lightning-quick wheels.

The Ukrainian manages to get a cross off at the end of it all, but no one gets on the end of it.
